If there’s 2 or more boats on the Sound, it’s not a cruise, it’s a race.
NCYC is very active on the racing scene. From our sanctioned races like the Outer Light Regatta to our Thursday night Club Racing schedule, there's lots of room to compete.

Thursday Night Summer Series Racing
This is North Cove Yacht Club racing: laid back, smiles, and hopefully just a little bit of wind. Join us each Thursday between June 6th 2024 and September 5th 2024.
Meet us on the deck at NCYC at 4:30 PM to get out on a boat. First warning for the race is 5:55 PM, just west of the Saybrook breakwater light. Race end times will vary depending on conditions.
Join us after the race for an informal barbeque dinner! BYOB and suggested dinner donation $5 per person.
Don’t have your own boat to race?
want to crew on a boat, want to join the Committee Boat, want to help with the barbeque after the races, or anyone who just wants a night out! Contact Amy Vinciguerra to find our how you can get involved.
Ann Troy Belle 8, September 8, 2024
The Anne Troy Belle 8 Race will be held on Sunday, September 8 with the 1st Warning at 10 AM. Please mark your calendar for this special club event and sign up early. We would like a great turnout for this fun event, which requires a helmswoman at the wheel. If you are interested in racing your boat and need a helmswoman or crew, please contact Dan or Amy as we would be happy to set you up with an experienced team.
Please keep in mind that racing experience is not a prerequisite to enter this race. The club has plenty of experienced sailors eager to help crew on your boat so if you haven’t signed up to enter this race before, please do so now as it is always great to be out there to enjoy the camaraderie with our fellow club members.
